THE BELLE GAME ALBUM COVER
Ritual Tradition Habit (Vinyl, LP, Album) The Belle Game is an ethereal crush pop band from Vancouver, British Columbia.
I was commissioned to photograph the band for their upcoming album release and
art directing their new album cover and subsequent promotional material.
ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY
This was no ordinary shoot. Aiming to convey the band’s dynamism and complexity, I wanted to try something different.
The shoot took place in virtual darkness, using only a construction light. I used black and white film and double exposures,
with some shots consisting of up to six exposures.
ALBUM ARTWORK
For the album artwork, the band collaborated with
artist Andy Dixon who took one of my final images and altered it using colour exploration.
